Hello Columbia, my name is Jessica Thomas, I’m 28 years old.and I am proud to be running to be your next mayor.

from Decker Boulevard where I went to daycare, to Polo Road where we went to church. I went to Oak Grove Elementary when we were in Lexington, to Spring Valley High when we lived out in Elgin. I’ve lived in Blythewood, Hollywood Hills, Earlewood. Columbia has been the landscape of my life.

I grew up right here, all over Columbia,

Columbia needs someone who represents the heart and soul of this city.

I’m not running to climb a ladder, I’m running to build a bridge.
Between city hall and the people it forgot.
Between what’s always been done, and what’s finally possible.

I’m not the candidate with the biggest donors or the most polished resume.
I’m the one who knows what it’s like to fight for every paycheck.
To care for family. To go unheard.
And still show up, because this city’s worth it.
